I raced for more than a decade in the 80’s and 90’s and never got a photo as good as this one in my first race back in more than 21 years. And yes, that’s a Rio Strada jersey, the club that I helped found 30 years ago.

Great new year’s eve ride with Todd Schaffer

I took advantage of the New Year’s holiday to take a ride with long-time friend, Todd Schaffer. We hit the hills and had a great 45-mile ride with snappy cold weather. (That’s crisper than crisp weather.)
Sacramento Cyclocross

Long-time friend and cycling guru, extraordinaire, Vince Gee (2nd guy through in this video) dismounts at the obstacles. This race, at Lange Twin Winery in Lodi, is part of the Sacramento Cyclocross Series.This was the first Cyclocross race I had viewed in probably 25 years and the first CX race Patrick viewed ever. Vince unfortunately flatted out of the race.
