Patrick’s place on Vox.com now defunct

At age 6, Patrick wanted his own blog. That was just the trendy thing to do in 2007. This summer when Vox decided to shutter it’s doors and send emails threatening that users will lose all of their content in less than a month, I took a look back at Patrick’sPlace.vox.com to see what was worth saving. (Don’t click on the link. It’s not there any more. Didn’t you just read the part about Vox taking down their shingle?) What I found there were exactly three posts by PT, only one of which is worth mentioning. (The other two, titled “Pippi Longstocking” and “transformers trailer” were merely titles and had no content.) You can see his entire entry by clicking the screen-capture above.
But the post “My favorite part of Turks and Caicos” was a 6-year-old’s Opus. That’s right, it was 7 full sentences of pure Patrickisms. I recall fondly his 4-hour effort to write, type and even format the blog entry. I didn’t recall Daddy’s comment until I revisited the blog: “Patrick, nice job on your first post.”
Vox may be dead, but you can still read more about our Turks and Caicos vacation or tons of posts where Patrick’s mentioned here at McClellandfamily.com.
