Expensive day on the bike for me. Bottom bracket failed at the start of the ride, free hub failed and made the Mavic screech of death. Then my Garmin fell off down Marshall Grade. It broke, along with the mount. Otherwise a great ride of 72 miles and 7900 feet of climbing with a great group of guys AND girls.

My skunk trap isn’t coming soon enough, and Max got sprayed again today (a light one, thankfully.) So I took matters into my own hands and built a spring snare out of wire and a brick (for the weight.) Two day’s later and I snagged my first critter. Now who are you going to want to hang with when things go bad?

Maximus was sprayed by a skunk for the second day in a row! Thank you Lisa for the Herculean effort to remove the stench (again) so I can go to work. Trap ordered.

We have one more day in the Big Apple, then we’ll see our first Broadway play with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick (It’s Only a Play,) and fly home tomorrow.

Emily has been a fan of Matthew Broderick for as long as I can remember. On the drive to NY she tweeted that her type was Matthew Broderick… And then this happened.

Emily later stated that her trip was compete and that she could fly home now and not have to do anything else. The next day we would see the Broadway play that Broderick was starring in, It’s Only a Play.
