Our 12th Anniversary

Lisa and I hopped into the car last Friday afternoon and headed out of town for our 12th anniversary. As we drove out of the neighborhood, we had no idea where we were going or what we were going to do. We threw some clothes in a bag. I figured Lisa would bring some toothpaste and a hairbrush. She figured I would bring them. We made do.
We drove via the delta and ended up in Sausalito for a quick bite and then drove into Half Moon Bay to find a B & B. ( We settled in at the full-of-character 100 year-old San Benito House on the main drag.) Quite nice I must say. The lack of a telephone or television was no problem for this couple.
The kids were with Jody and Mike, so we had time to talk, goof off, walk, shop, sit on the beach and thoroughly enjoy ourselves.
Pictures? No. We took none. It was a simple trip, not planned until Thursday night, and we packed in about a half hour. If you have the means of staying married for 12 years I can highly recommend it. We’re happy together, and this weekend proved it.
