Emily breezed into her school’s honor roll for outstanding grades for the second consecutive trimester. She missed the Principle’s Honor Roll–a distinction for “straight-A” students–by only one grade. It would have been the second consecutive trimester for that dubious honor. Her peers lauded her a great student in front of her teacher and parents alike.

Emily continues to excel at soccer (and will try out for a competitive league next week,) attends Spanish Club, enjoys Brownie Girl Scouts and is wrapping up her first attempt at a science-fair project. The subject? The fastest method to chill a soda from room-temperature to 35 degrees. Too bad she didn’t finish it in time to save this guy.
