Day 1 at Disney
December 7th, 2006 by Steve · 3 Comments ·
Well we’ve made it through day 1 at Over-stimulation land, and despite all the whining, moaning and complaining from the kids, we ended the day with smiles on our faces, and landed hard on the hotel sheets. The hightlight of my day? Standing on Main Street with the fireworks going off over Sleeping Beauty’s castle and the snow begining to fall. Of course it was the only type of snow that actually falls in L. A.; the fake type. But it was impressive nonetheless especially with the backdrop of Disney’s main drag fashionably set for Christmas.
Patrick watching the fireworks while sitting on my shoulders: “This is the best night ever!”
The holiday…no, Disney still calls it Christmas, so I will too. The Christmas re-set of the haunted Mansion is quite impressive too. It really makes it like it’s a whole new ride.

The contradiction of the day: Emily on the Haunted Mansion, “Ooo, I hate this part of the ride. Hey I love this part!”
