Do they make brown Playdough?

May 3rd, 2008 by Steve · Leave a Comment ·

This is from the McClellandfamily.com Archives (as told by Steve in the voice of Emily):

When I was barely walking and just mumbling a few words, probably at about 15 months, Daddy left me alone, supervised only by my attention span and a 5 color playdough set. When he returned to clean up, the playdough was missing.”

“Where is it?” Daddy inquired.

“It’s in my diaper,” I smiled and proceeded to hand him, one by one, the rainbow of little rolled balls that I had recently learned to make. He took each colored ball, kneeded them back into shape, squishing them through his fingers and putting them back in their color-coded containers. When I reached into my diaper in the darkened back hallway about a half hour later to retrieve one more ball, he briefly thought, “I don’t remember having brown Playdough.” He kneeded the final ball back into shape, squishing it through his fingers and then, stepping into the light, realized I had handed him a ball of poop.
