Live Like You Were Dying

The book I bought for Lisa on Valentine’s day because I chanced to pick it up and chanced to turn to a page that said “I love you!” in big bold letters turned out to be an inspirational tome about enjoying life and living every day as if it was your last.

You have the power to change someone’s life, to give a moment that will be cherished forever. Deeper than deep, higher than high, a simple honest act can bring meaning and depth and poetry to someone who needs it more than they know. Your honest words say you care about your friend, your family, your lover, your Savior. Your honest words say you cherish them, that you are better because of them and that you would be lesser without them. So just say it now. Don’t wait. You’ve waited long enough.

Live Like Your Were Dying (Rutledge Hill Press)
Written by Tim Nichols and Craig Wiseman, it comes with a CD Single of Tim McGraw’s song by the same name. Apparently the song inspired the book. The book, however, inspired me.
