Travel is small part of another fun year for Tom and Gretchen

January 2nd, 2012 by Steve · Leave a Comment ·

They didn’t conquer the world in 2011, but they got away enough times to avoid bordeom. A week in Mazatlan at Pueblo Bonito resort offered winter warmth. They did a week in Carlsbad by the Sea again.  Other than a major power outage, it was relaxing. On the way home they did an overnight at Kathy Brown’s in San Clemente. The group went to  Hulaville where Tom got up twice to strum his uke and sing.

In October a long weekend took them to San Francisco’s Marina, the area where Tom lived in 1957.  They celebrated 35 years together quietly with home-cooked dinner. Year No.7 living at Sun City Roseville continued to be a good experience.

As a charter member of Rocklin Kiwanis, Tom remained active in the club’s 19th year. After organizing weekly speakers for two years, he took on job of editing the weekly bulletin. Two of Tom’s best friends—Tom Stanford and Keith Dumas—joined the club.

Gretchen continued to seek solutions to identify theft problems for CitiBank, never tiring of her career.
