HAPPY 76TH TO NORMA SUE!

May 4th, 2007 by Newsboy (Tom) · 1 Comment ·

To my Favorite Sister:

I procrastinated too long. No b-day card this year. Doesn’t mean I don’t remember. Our birth dates being exactly 18 months apart, I can never forget.

So…

HAPPY 76TH TO NORMA SUE

There…I feel better.

I had a sixth grade sub assignment today and it went swimingly compared to 7th grade a week earlier. Go figure. I worked 6 days in this pay period, good for $480 gross (@ $80 a day). Not good pay so I had better try to enjoy it.

My Saturday morn is tied up with a meeting of TNT Fireworks company. Orientation is for our Kiwanis fireworkers booth. For my last duty with the service club, I am head of the stand. In October I plan to resign from the club I dedicated so much time to since 1994. I will miss it, in a way, but I need some personal time. There are projects to be done, songs to be sung, joys to be enjoyed, fasts to be slowed down.

Anyway, Happy Days. May this year be as rewarding as most of the others. Keep on cruising.

Bro Tom

See old black-and-white photo of little Tommy and cuddly Norma to note how we have matured in the last 70 years!

I have not substituted in the schools this year. I got busy on real jobs for real money. I am now doing PR work for Placer Valley Tourism, a chain of pasta restaurants (10 Old Spaghetti Factories in California), Eppie’s Great Race. That is all. It keeps me off the golf course but is fun nonetheless.
